Latest data from Action Fraud shows staggering amount lost in 2018/19

When Tim Berners-Lee invented the internet he would have had no idea of scope his creation.

However he would no doubt be mortified to see a headline like this.

Due to the massive jump in investment scams, the FCA has launched an advertising campaign to raise awareness of online trading scams. This will run on social media and aims to make consumers more sceptical of ‘get rich quick’ trading scams that are often promoted online.

If you're unsure about any approach received by phone or email, always treat them with suspicion. The government website - https://www.actionfraud.police.uk - provides an excellent resource on online safety and alerts.
